Last week I loved Elle for rocking those pvc pants with a hot pair of Louboutins. This week I hate Elle for being so ignorant about animal cruelty. Elle sat down for an interview with The Sunday Times and told them she’s a fan of Chinese medicine. Apparently crushed rhino horn does wonders for your skin and nails.
Chinese “medicine” is pretty much a whole bunch of endangered animals crushed into pills or dried into a tea mix. Hardly a medical science. And today’s statement that Elle did not “knowingly consume or encourage the consumption of products derived from endangered species” just makes matters worse. Is there more than one way to understand Elle’s interview answer about the taste of the pill taste, “A little bit like crushed bone and fungus in a capsule. Does the job though.”?
