The album was dropped last week and it’s surely mind-blowing as they say, but we were here today because of her mind-blowing style. The 34-year-old R&B singer from Washington, DC, is pure eye candy. Her bejeweled-thick braids, the colorful outfits, the edgy statement earrings and the dreamy yet bold attitude were already noticed by DAZED magazine who put her on his cover. They have also drawn the attention of major fashion brands such as Calvin Klein, Chloé, Kenzo and Eckhaus Latta, as her Instagram account reveals. If you really insist on a comparison or on putting labels, than KELELA’s style is like a Solange-FKA Twigs combo but with lots of originality. The right term is fresh.
