Carnivores and dairy lovers – please do not turn away.  Since it is World Vegan Day, we wanted to encourage you to follow a more humane trend. The most recent trendsetter to adopt this attitude is Gucci, who has banned fur claiming that real fur is no longer “modern”, even though it used to be the brand’s signature (as shown in the picture above). Gucci’s not alone, also the respected fashion designer Stella McCartney has held this opinion from the start. All of her products are made of faux fur and an innovative faux leather, cementing her stance on vegan-friendly materials. Even magazines have taken a stand; like Vogue Paris with their cover sporting Gisele Bundchen draped in faux fur and holding a baby kangaroo. With more high-end designers and big names going towards the faux animal products, is there really any more reason to buy the real deal? There are so many innovations in the fashion industry, that at this point, it is nearly impossible to tell a difference between the fake and real. So, do the environment and animals a favor and check out these vegan-friendly pieces that keep you on trend and make the world a better place.
