Few months ago I thought Crystal Renn was a temporary novelty, but she really seems to be holding her ground. I do think that eventually, designers will stop using her on the runway, unless she ends up loosing a bit of weight. I’m not saying she needs to drop 10 sizes, but I personally prefer when the clothes get the center stage and not the models’ size 16 curves.
I like her look and hope she becomes a permanent face/body in magazines and campaigns, but let’s not kid ourselves, Gaultier wasn’t about to pass on featuring long lean sexy legs in that ad, so you can be sure she had a little help from the lighting/post crew.
