I usually treat avantarde with a healthy doze of skepticism, but these Comme Des Garçons pieces just might feet into the wardrobe. I can only call Comme Des Garçons’ runway shows as consisting of lumps and bumps (expression coined in 1997, but describing the labels’ runways rather accurately till this day). But the ready to wear pieces are wearable and edgy. Just be careful not to come out looking like an experimental wannabe. Minimalism is key!
