stroget street copenhagen world's longest runway, world's longest catwalk
Strøget, Copenhagen

Copenhagen sure found a unique way to attract attention to it’s fashion week. On August 14th, Strøget, the world’s longest pedestrian street that stretches over about a mile (1.6 km) between City Hall and Kongens Nytorv, will turn into the world’s longest catwalk.
Helena Christensen will kick off the event that will include over 200 models and showcase over 500 Scandinavian brands.

According to WWD, at the moment the record for longest catwalk is held by the Thai Pattaya International Fashion Week. Pattaya claimed it last April with a runway measured at 5,231 feet and 11.3 inches. Not for long Pattaya, not for long.
