So. Last week was International Artists Day. (Here at Fashion Lover, we’re big on delivering only the funnest of Factz™️). It’s a day to celebrate artists and their contribution to the world. As Leonardo da Vinci once said:

“The artist sees what others only catch a glimpse of.”

Artists bring beauty, creativity, and unique perspectives to the world every day. To honor artists (even if we’re a week late), here are 10 fashion designers who have helped make the world a better place through their art:

9) Miuccia Prada was born in Milan and has served as the head designer of the Prada brand since 1978. She is world-renowned for continuing to run the empire with great success. #StrongWomen

10) Dominican designer Oscar de la Renta was known for his women’s evening wear and celebrity clientele (think Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Oprah), including…….multiple first ladies! (So, so, so, so, SO cool!!!).

We could not be more grateful for what these designers have contributed to fashion. If it weren’t for them, who knows where we’d be (probably less fashionable, that’s for sure). As fashion lovers, it’s always important to recognize the artists behind the clothes. Who’s your favorite fashion designer? Let us know @fashionlovermag!
