If you’re reading this, then we know that you’re probably a well-informed fashion lover. But are you an informed voter??? The midterm elections are happening tomorrow in the United States. To all our U.S. fashion lovers, we have one request: GET OUT AND VOTE!!! (Or GOAV, if you’re an acronym-inclined fashion lover). We’re not going to get into politics, because this is a fashion blog (duh), but we are going to encourage all you Americans to fulfill your civic duty and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE. To get you in the spirit of voting, here are some lüks to help you achieve midterm election fashion realness:
Show up to the polls in a cute, patriotic button down. All your fellow voters will be totes jelly with how casually you incorporated the star-spangled banner into your voting outfit.
For all our fashion lovers who want to hit the polls in a more ~subtle~ nod to the red, white, and blue, try this sweatshirt with a black ‘n white pic of the flag to let your fellow Americans know that you love democracy, but in a classy way.
If you live someplace warm and are a total athleisure lover, try this cute two-piece. It’ll go great with your “I Voted” sticker!
Vote while wearing a true American classic in this Ralph Lauren sweater. Fun fact: Cindy Crawford once graced the cover of Elle in this beaut (!!!).
In case you have trouble deciding between representing America in denim or sparkles and stars and stripes, Missguided has you covered. Their line with Barbie, a true American fashion icon, is perfect for the midterm elections. It’ll make you and your fellow voters excited to cast your ballots.
Yet again, Missguided epitomizes the ideals of true democracy with this head-to-toe sparkles look. It’s as if Francis Scott Key envisioned this outfit when he was writing the national anthem. Get out and vote in this flashy/fun ensemble to spread the love and democracy.
We hope you’re as jazzed up as we are to vote, vote, vote tomorrow. Share your voting looks with us @fashionlovermag!
