Thanksgiving is coming up (read: is literally on Thursday), which means that you’re probably planning what to wear. We know that there’s a lot of pressure to look your best on Thanksgiving. After all, clothes are ~basically~ a direct reflection of how you’re doing. We want to help you look your best so that your clothes can speak for you instead of you having to repeatedly tell your relatives, “I’m fine, thanks!” But we also want to be respectful and pay homage to the Pilgrims that made this day possible (questionable reputations aside). With those goals in mind, we give you Thanksgiving Pilgrim fashion realness!

Pilgrims were not exactly known for their ~progressivism~ in life or in fashion, so this post is going to be a LOT of dresses. But not just normal dresses. No, get ready for pilgrim-inspired dresses, complete with white collars (!), some belts (!) and a whole lot of black. This first dress screams “stability.” Wear it to your Thanksgiving table to let your relatives know that you’re doing FINE and looking FINE, while respecting the holiday.

Next up is this keyhole dress with a white scalloped collar. It will let the fam know that you’re cute, but also totally fine and totally happy to be celebrating Thanksgiving with everybody.

These dresses are all GR8 options for Thanksgiving. They’re fun, chic, and black with an updated pilgrim edge. Your cousins will not able to believe how FASHIONABLE and FINE you are in these beauts!

Last up in our selection of dresses is this bodycon/midi/pilgrim lük. This is one of our faves because it’s so simple and tidy, just like the Pilgrims would have wanted. Your fam will be gushing over your dress and won’t even need to ask about how you’re doing!

To pair with your pilgrim-perfect dress, here are some shoes! But they’re not just *normal* shoes. No, these are shoes with BUCKLES and BLOCK HEELS. What better way to honor the Pilgrims and complete your outfit than with buckles and block heels? Like, seriously – this should be the only way to dress for Thanksgiving.

To accessorize for Thanksgiving, we have one suggestion: bonnet. While the pilgrims were big on the white bonnets, we think that this black lace bonnet will be able to give your look a modern twist that the Pilgrims would be proud of. (The fam will also be proud).

Now that you’re ready to face Thanksgiving with the fam in your pilgrim fashion realness, share your looks with us at @fashionlovermag!
