Gap, to celebrate it’s arrival to Italy, has scored a collaboration deal with Valentino – one of Italy’s most famous couture houses.

The collection, launching in late November, is planned to retail for Gap’s regular prices. In addition to the forthcoming Milan store, it will also be available in Paris’ Colette store and London’s Gap store on Oxford street and Dover Street Market.

The collaboration doesn’t come as a surprise, since Valentino’s creative directors Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri have been talking for quite some time now about their vision to open up Valentino to a new, younger market. It is especially noticeable in their latest Fall 2010 couture collection. The dresses were short and the whole show just oozed, for lack of a better word, “emo”.
