While making my way through the horrible weather last night and the herds of people waiting at the backstage entrance, hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous, all I could think of are Paola Suhonen’s summer-y cotton shift dresses. See, I already saw the collection’s photos, when Suhonen sent her collection down the Copenhagen Fashion Week runway last month, but seeing the collection up close was a completely different story. I got to see every little detail, every little stitch. Trust me when I say this, Paola Suhonen infused the nautical theme into her collection down to the last button.
This show is a big deal for Paola Suhonen seeing how this is IVANAhelsinki‘s first New York runway show, and part of the official MB Fashion Week schedule, no less. With The King Collective PR team behind her, hopefully, by next spring we’ll get to shop the collection in our stores. I cannot think of anything more NYC-summer appropriate than a breezy cotton shift dress.
