RIchard Nicoll For Cerruti Spring 2011

Cerruti is an Italian brand that lost it’s steam ever since Nino Cerruti retired from the chief designer position in 1996. Since than, Cerruti has been a revolving door for head designers. Narciso Rodriguez and Jean-Paul Knott listed among them.

Cerruti Spring 2011 (and the next two seasons) are designed by the Australian Richard Nicoll who continues to create his own line and shows at London Fashion Week. It’s a good marriage for the two as both treasure perfect tailoring and minimalism.

The collection ranges from super elegant sportswear to tailored camel daywear and geometrically draped gowns. Geometric monochrome print, sometimes hidden under sheer fabric, is contrasted with brick-red and camel and brings innovation to the otherwise reserved looks.
