In general, I’d say H&M did a good job translating Lanvin’s luxury and quality into cheap fast fashion garments. The smoking jacket, for example, is definitely one of my coveted items.

Some dresses translated better than others. The black dress embroidered with satin ribbon fails to create the luscious and luxurious effect it was supposed to evoke – there’s simply not enough ribbon. The t-shirts are another item Lanvin For H&M was better to forgo out of the otherwise very smart collection. And now we know that the dreaded face motif is actually on one of these t-shirts. Dare I say the face looks kind of … slow.
