That W Magazine film we’ve talking about is a short film not only about W’s remake debut September issue rather about the process of remaking W magazine over the span of few months. It even covers the Kim Kardashian issue.
The short film shows Stefano Tonchi’s new approach and vision for the magazine. It includes interviews with the fashion photography gods Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and the Proenza Schouler designer duo.
As the film beautifully exemplifies, Stefano Tonchi’s relationship with colleagues, models, designers and actors is one of warmth and mutual respect. Not fear and coldness like with, ahm, other fashion editor-in-chiefs we know.
W magazine is the only fashion magazine I’m subscribed to that I actually read, so trust me when I say that watching this film is a good way to spend the next 5 minutes.
