I think we’ve already established that Hermès really don’t want LVMH to hold any of it’s shares, not to mention gain control over it. Now the dozens of heirs to Thierry Hermès that control 73.4 percent of the company have come up with a new plan.

In stead of the current structure where all the heirs hold shares of Hermès separately, the family members formed a new unlisted holding company that now holds over 50 percent of Hermès shares. This way LVMH won’t be able to buy Hermès chunk by chunk.

And thus the war continues.
