So why was there an 8 ton, 40 foot tall golden lion with it’s paw on a pearl at the Chanel Haute Couture show? Because Karl Lagerfeld can get one. And really, if you’re already getting one, where else would you put it? The official story is that Coco was a Leo.
Although this collection features rather reserved silhouettes, it more makes up for it in the variation and richness of details. The show started off with day wear and tweeds and progressed into evening wear and almost fantasy like textures and colors. There were so many pieces in the evening wear I liked, that I stopped counting.
